The Pictorium creates Photo Collage for UCD Marian Basketball
When UCD Marian Basketball wanted to make a unique presentation to one of their departing stars they asked The Pictorium to create a unique canvas photo collage.
With a great range of press clippings and some fantastic photos from the final of the National Cup, we created a vibrant photo canvas collage that epitomised the excitement and thrill of winning the National Cup Final.
The photo collage on canvas really creates a great sense of the team celebrating a unique moment.
Photo Manipulation/Digital Enhancement
The main background photo used in the collage was slightly low resolution, however it conveyed a great moment during the game so we decided we could make use of it with a small bit of photo manipulation. To achieve this we photoshopped the photo using a few different filters to increase the focal point on the player making the lay-up and add even more sense of movement to the image.
We then scanned in the press clippings and added some drop shadows to them to create a sense of depth to the photo collage.
We were also supplied with a range of shots of the players celebrating the win. We decided to really give the photo collage a bit of extra “oomph” we’d spend some time upping the punch of the photos!
We created a layer stack within Photoshop (using Colour Dodge (88%), Darken (79%), Normal (77%) each with a unique mask to ensure a perfect blend of colours).
We’re pretty happy with the way the canvas photo collage worked out and so was UCD Marion!
