Many customers come in or call Pictorium Photoshop asking us if it is possible to take someone out of a photo. Sometimes it is very straight forward with others needing more time, but in most cases it can be done.
Wedding Photo – remove people & restore
One thing to remember when choosing a photo is that when removing a person or object, there will be a blank space in their place.
So when we removed the people to the left and right, our Groom was missing part of his trousers, not ideal for their wedding photo!
Using our trusty Clone Stamp tool along with a bit of copying and pasting we recreated his trousers. We then restored the photo, rebalanced the colors and converted to Black & White.
All it needed then was a final bit of retouching and Voilà a brand new photo with just their parents in the frame.
Family Photo – remove people & restore
Not only did we need to remove the people in the background, recreate new grass in their place, the photo itself was in need of fair bit of restoring.
The first job was to rebalance the colors and brighten up the photo. Only when this was done could we then remove the people in the background and replace them with new grass. We then retouched the photo to ensure a seamless finish. The final step was to restore the photo itself.
